And Travelling Woman by Liz Abinante was gifted to Mom for Mother’s Day. Finally. She loved it.

I ended up holding the Skacel Merino Lace double for this project - knit it on 4.00mm circs and made no modifications for a quick, enjoyable project that is very effective.

Love it. I am going to knit one for me – I used about a quarter (probably less) of the skein. The yardage with this yarn is insanely awesome.

ps. Wehave been having the most gorgeous sunny weather here – it’s amazing how much of a difference some sun makes to your mood! I am feeling much better than I was through the winter – I guess I need some sun sometimes!

First handspun project ever:

Tanis Fibre Arts Superwash Merino in “Chestnut” – I loved working with this fibre.

I love the subtle colour changes of this fibre – and of course my love of garter just leaves me in awe of this yarn. Onto more spinning and continuing to wheedle down my queue as my yarn diet continues …
